Wizer Platform Walkthrough
Wizer is designed to optimize decision-making by ensuring the right mix of participants, both internal and external, are involved in every decision. This platform supports diverse and effective collaboration by leveraging three core features:
-
Decision Profiles: These profiles provide deep insights into the decision-making styles of participants, enhancing the understanding of how each member can contribute most effectively.
-
Recommendation Engine: This tool intelligently suggests which individuals should be involved in specific decisions based on their expertise and decision-making profiles, ensuring a well-rounded and informed discussion.
-
Strength Panels: By assessing the collective strengths of a decision-making group, Wizer ensures that every panel is balanced and equipped to address the matter at hand comprehensively.
Together, these features create a dynamic environment that supports strategic collaboration and informed decision-making across your organization.
**At Wizer, any information we collect is used to determine the optimal composition of decision-makers for each specific decision. We prioritise your privacy and data security. See here
Next you will walk through the following Steps:
1. Setting up a Decision Making Profile
You will receive an email from Wizer. Set your password and login. Go to your Dashboard.
Click on the edit button on your profile in the top right to add information. This is the simplest way to start but you will also want to complete your Full Decision Profile.

Click on Complete your Decision Profile on the left larger screen. This will take you to a 5-10 minute test.

Once you have completed you can click on this button to see your full decision profile.
We need you and your colleagues to fill in your profiles in order to understand the talent within your walls.

2. Your Profile
After completing your Decision Profile, you’ll see which of the seven decision-making archetypes best reflects your approach. This includes insights into how you typically assess information, collaborate, and act on decisions.
In the platform, these profiles contribute to a broader view of your team’s decision dynamics.
Wizer uses this information to help identify whether the right mix of people is involved in each decision. It draws on a combination of expertise, cognitive diversity, personality traits, and decision styles to support more balanced and effective decision-making across the organization.
To learn more about the profiles go to our Decision Profiles page.

3. Adding People. Creating Groups and Panels (for Admin).
You are almost ready to start posting decisions. The first thing you need to do is add your people. These may be all the people within your organisation or external. When you add them make sure you let the system know if they are inside the company or external consultants (internal people helps Wizer understand the talent within your walls and deliver Decision Making Profiles).
A. Add People
Click on people in the navigation menu.
Assign or Modify User Roles:
-
The People section will display a list of all users linked to your account. Each user is assigned a specific role: Admin, User, or External.
Understanding Roles and Permissions:
-
Admin: Has comprehensive access to all functionalities including adding people, asking questions, viewing all questions, and accessing both aggregated and individual data.
-
User (Team Member): Can participate in discussions, view and respond to questions they are authorised to see, and access aggregated data relevant to their involvement. Users do not have access to individual decision data or the ability to add new people.
-
External: Limited to participating in specific discussions they are invited to. External users can see questions and contribute answers but cannot view any aggregated or individual decision data unless explicitly granted.

Your colleagues will receive an email inviting them to the platform.
You are also able to add them via a CSV. You just need the following information:

B. Groups
The organisation will set people up in groups for internal and external people
Example internal groups Marketing, Executive, Deal Flow. Set up teams here that best represent your organisation.
External Group examples may be shareholders, government.
Then you can add the members to each team once your people have joined the platform.

C. Panels
Panels (you can also think of this as projects) are where you can mix your groups of people - internal and external - to come up with the best panel of people to answer your decisions.
Remember best decisions are made when there is a good mix of diversity and expertise in your panel.
When you ask a question. Wizer will let you know if the crowd for the question is strong or weak. You will need to ensure each Panel has 6+ people to benefit from Wise crowd effects (the recommendation engine will help you later to ensure you have a Wise Panel).

4. Posting Your Decisions
